Book Review: Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts

Hey! It's me...I'm back. I know- it's been a (almost year) long hiatus. But here I am-  kick things off with a book review. Enjoy!

I got the book, Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts for Christmas last year. (Just before my last post.) I have made a few items in the book and right now I'm busy busy busy making these sweet little bird ornaments for some of the special peeps in my life. (pun-intended)

This book has some lovely projects and beautiful pictures but the instructions are challenging to follow as there are no images or diagrams of the construction of most of the projects. I'm working on making the stuffed elephant in the book and spent over an hour trying to figure out how to pin the pieces together. Thankfully- I am not alone AND  the authors of this book graciously allowed another blogger to post step-by-step pictures for piecing that little elephant together, available, here.

So if you are a visual learner- this may not be the book for you. Then again, I found these birds and the super-easy baby quilt to be, well, super-easy. So think carefully about what works for you as far as following patterns and instructions.
